P.S. 25, erected in1897 in the Gothic Collegiate style, had 18 classrooms and was designed to accommodate nearly 1,100 students. An addition was completed in 1908. Snyder worked in many architectural styles, and preferred mid-block locations away from busy, noisy avenues.
